ABSTRACT
Background: Masyeta Public Health Center (Puskesmas) had the highest
malaria cases in Teluk Bintuni Regency, accounting for 81.29%. One key factor
contributing to the high prevalence is the low public awareness of AMTSB
(Access, Seek, Detect, Screen, and Treat). This study aimed to analyze the
determinants associated with AMTSB among the community in Masyeta
District, Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua, in 2024
Method: The study used a descriptive analytic design with a cross-sectional
approach. The sample was selected using random purposive sampling,
involving 86 respondents. Data analysis included univariate, bivariate (ChiSquare test), and multivariate (logistic regression) analyses.
Result: The Chi-Square test showed no significant relationship between
AMTSB and gender, age, education, occupation, disease severity, family
influence, or malaria prevention. However, distance showed a significant
relationship (p-value = 0.000). Logistic regression analysis identified distance
as the most dominant variable influencing AMTSB, with an Odds Ratio of
7.958.
Conclusion: Distance has a significant relationship with AMTSB, while other
factors do not
